and I am the original writer of the movie Fanboys.
I am very honored to learn of your signature
campaign to have Fanboys released in Japan.
I recently visited your
websites and they are fantastic!
I want to thank all of you for your noble efforts on
behalf of our movie. I am forever in your debt!
I have been greatly influenced by Japanese culture
from a very young age, so it is very exciting for me
to know that Fanboys will
finally be released in Japan.
In addition to Star Wars, I grew up watching many
Japanese television show and anime,
such as Ultraman, the Macross Saga,
Beast King Go-Lion, Gatchaman,
and Ambassador Magma.
So it will be a very great honor for me to share
my movie Fanboys with a Japanese audience.

『ファンボーイズ』のオリジナル脚本家である、アーネスト・クラインさんから
『ファンボーイズ』日本上陸を祝うメッセージを頂きました！
『ファンボーイズ』は、１９９８年のハロウィンパーティーに
「『エピソード１』の前にこのまま死んじゃったら、どうしよう」とアーネスト・クラインさんが
考えたことに着想を得て作られたそうです。
その後、すぐに脚本を書いて自主映画として作ろうとして一度は頓挫するものの、
最終的にワインスタイン・カンパニーが買ったという経緯で『ファンボーイズ』が形になったわけです。
アーネスト・クラインさんは、日本のカルチャーに造詣が深く
「ウルトラマン」、「マクロス（アメリカなので「ロボテック」のことと思われる）」、
「百獣王ゴライオン」、「ガッチャマン」、「マグマ大使」などを見て育ったとのことで
その日本でのリリース決定に喜びもひとしおのようです！
